The Elegance of the Finishing Touch

An outfit rarely comes together all at once.

A dress may be chosen first, followed by shoes, jewellery or a jacket. Each piece contributes something to the overall look.

Millinery often arrives at the very end of this process.

It is the final detail that brings everything into balance.

A carefully chosen headpiece can introduce colour, soften a silhouette or draw attention to the face. Sometimes it echoes a tone already present in the outfit. Sometimes it brings a subtle contrast that completes the look.

What matters most is proportion.

When the scale, placement and colour feel right, the headpiece does not dominate the outfit. Instead it becomes part of a harmonious whole.

This is why my millinery is often described as the finishing touch.

It is the detail that quietly transforms a collection of beautiful elements into a considered and complete look.

If you have an outfit and an occasion approaching, Catherine would be delighted to help you find the perfect finishing touch.
