Marquee
A study in structure and celebration, Marquee explores geometry through light, movement and repetition.
Sweeping loops of metallic thread crinoline are guided by wired Swiss braid, forming a layered composition that feels both precise and fluid. The structure was first resolved through hand-drafted patterns and three-dimensional modelling, allowing each curve to sit in balance before being translated into its final form.
Despite its sculptural scale, the piece remains lightweight and considered, designed to sit comfortably while maintaining its architectural presence.
Inspired by the soft curvature of a marquee ceiling illuminated with evening light, it captures a sense of occasion - where structure becomes atmosphere and detail creates quiet movement.
